Jay & Shan Southern African Expedition

After a restful nights sleep we left Johannesburg at 8AM for Pietermaritzburg where the family eagerly awaited our arrival. The journey was long but pleasant and gave us a chance to catch up with Sunil. We arrived in Pietermaritzburg at 12:30 to an emotional welcome...
Nir, Joy, Prem, Ramie, Amy, Kamil, Premilla, Meena, Amrit, Tiana, Yuvna, Molly Poowa and Sharma all met us today as we were welcomed home by a traditional prayer. The afternoon was spent by being spiritually uplifted by the Punditji who blessed us all with his moving rendition of a traditional Hindu Katha. This was followed by the eating of the parsad and late afternnon lunch.

It was a beautiful afternnon and we had time to catch up...

Touched at down OR Tambo International on Thursday, 16 December 2010 - 11:28. Air France flight was delayed by 42 mins...
We were met by our favorite nephew Sunil at the airport and we were wisked away to Shan's cousin Shanila's house.
After an emotional arrival we settled down to a "few"cups of tea and an excellent lunch.

After many hours of chatting and dinner - we finally got to bed close to midnight...
